The case is great condition. All hinges and latches work. The springs in the latches also work well. The shell, leather, and handle are all in outstanding condition. No smoky or musty odors. The only flaw is on the back of the case. There is a spot where it looks like some paper got stuck to the case. It could be removed if desired.
Overall it would be hard to find a case from this period in better condition. If you have a trumpet from this period that you’ll like to keep in a case from the same period, this one won’t disappoint.
